From a dream to
three thriving branches.
How one woman turned a night-time vision into a 15-year wholesale empire.
In 2010, Isoken Buruboyefe had a dream. Not a business plan, not a spreadsheet — a dream. She saw herself carrying goods. She woke up, and instead of dismissing it, she got up, went to the market, and started asking questions.
That same week, she took her first step into the drinks trade. With nothing but determination and a willingness to learn, she set up her first operation at Biogbolo — learning the rhythms of wholesale, building relationships with suppliers, and earning the trust of her first customers one transaction at a time.
It wasn't easy. Running a wholesale business means early mornings, late stock counts, difficult negotiations, and the constant pressure of cash flow. Isoken had to find the right managers, build a team she could trust, and make hard decisions when the business demanded it. But she never stopped.
Year by year, the business grew. The Swahili Branch came next — a second location, a second team, a bigger reach. Then Pool Branch followed, planting Keniye firmly across Delta, Edo, and Port Harcourt. Three branches. Three cities. One standard.
Fifteen years on, Keniye is more than a wholesale business. It is proof that a dream — taken seriously, acted upon, and built with faith — can become something real. Something that provides livelihoods, serves communities, and keeps people drinking right.
